Mustafa Hoca was born in Famagusta in 1991. He graduated from Namık Kemal High School as the top student in 2009, and from Near East University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2014, as the top student of the department and faculty. Then, he completed his Master's degree at Başkent University Health Sciences Institute, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2016, and started his PhD education at Near East University in 2016. In 2019, he defended his doctoral thesis titled "Potential Effects of Phenolic Nutritional Components Quercetin and Resveratrol on the Relationship Between Pancreatic Cancer Stem Cell and Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition" and received the title of Doctor of Science. He was appointed as Assistant Professor at Near East University in 2021. In 2023, he was entitled to receive the title of Associate Professor at Near East University and was appointed to the position of Associate Professor. He has been serving as the Head of Department at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Near East University since September 2023. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hoca serves as the Faculty of Health Sciences Website Coordinator, Faculty of Health Sciences Event Coordinator, and Özay Günsel Children's University Faculty of Health Sciences Coordinator. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hoca has many articles published in national and international indexed journals, national and international book chapters, speeches and presentations at congresses and symposiums. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hoca's academic interests include; old age and nutrition, cancer and nutrition, diabetes and nutrition, determination of nutritional status, and epidemiology.
