Within the scope of the 2025 Spring semester, Near East University, Faculty of Health Sciences
organized the “Social Gathering and Networking Event” to strengthen social bonds among students,
foster team spirit, and enhance interaction within the faculty. Planned between April 22 and May 12,
the event series, filled with a variety of social and sports activities, attracted great interest from
students.
The event series was launched on April 22, 2025, with a film screening held at Faculty Hall 4. Students
not only enjoyed the screening but also had the chance to come together and socialize. On April 24,
the opening match of the football tournament took place at 18:00, offering colorful moments. Teams
formed by the Faculty of Health Sciences students brought both competition and fair play spirit to
the field. The matches drew attention with high participation and enthusiastic audience support
throughout.
On May 8, volleyball matches were held at the College Sports Hall, offering participants the
opportunity to experience the importance of both physical activity and teamwork. Matches took
place between 16:00-19:00 and included both male and female students. The volleyball games were
highly engaging with the active participation of spectators.
One of the most anticipated moments of the event series was the football tournament final, held on
May 12, 2025. Following the final, a Closing and Award Ceremony was organized, where the top-
performing teams of the tournament were awarded. Certificates of appreciation and medals were
presented to students. Participants emphasized that the events were not only entertaining but also
motivating.
During the final evening, which was also attended by the faculty administration, it was highlighted
that such events enhance communication among students and contribute positively to university life.
Appreciation was extended to all participating students and academic staff who contributed to the
organization.
